I am a professional cellist turned software engineer with an inquisitive mind and an insatiable desire for learning. My music career fine-tuned my attention to detail and developed my ability to break large tasks into manageable pieces. As an outgoing, communicative perfectionist, I look forward to joining a supportive development team.
This project brings to life an idea I had seven years ago. Using React and Express, this application allows musicians to keep track of their repertoire and their performances. Musicians can easily add pieces to the repertoire list through a form, and then build out the performances with a multiselector. Future versions will include a calendar with all of the performances, a program format to be printed, and the option to send out email invitations.
I wanted to put a fun spin on this project that required CRUD abilities on a resource, in this case, nail polish. Currently, this application allows users to add their favorite nail colors to the 'salon,' and they can view colors created by other uses.
This imitation "MeetUp" application provides a place for colleagues to create events, RSVP, and view who will attend. This project was a collaboration with two other developers in the cohort. My background as a musician was extremely helpful for this project since the world of music has prepared me to work in groups of a variety of sizes.
A fun inviting take on the timeless game, Tic Tac Toe. This project, which included game logic and a third party API, was my first project as a software engineer. There are aspects of this application I would like to improve (e.g. the alerts and buttons in the footer), but I have preserved this in the original form to remind myself how far I have come in 12 weeks.
